Get Your Career In Gear!
Dear AD/HDer:
Does the current state of our economy have you worried about your career?
Lately I've been hearing the same concern from my clients and other adults with AD/HD: People are desperately trying to hang on to their jobs, or find a job after having been laid off.
You know first-hand that professionals with AD/HD encounter unique challenges in the workplace that can make it even more difficult to find -- or keep -- the perfect job.
You know that you have exceptional strengths and qualities that are of great value to your employer; and you also know that these assets can become easily overshadowed by your AD/HD challenges, such as trouble with time management, organization, or focus.
In the current economic climate, it's not enough to find a job that you enjoy, you also have to fight to keep it.

I'm thrilled to present three experts in AD/HD and career management -- my personal friends, Wilma Fellman, Paul Copcutt, and Ari Tuckman -- who will join us for an afternoon of education, practical advice, and how-to steps for getting your career in gear.

Managing Career Stress and Anxiety in an Uncertain Economy
with Ari Tuckman, PsyD, MBA
In these stressful times, those who can turn their anxiety into motivation will be most successful in their careers.
In this session, we'll discuss the positive role of anxiety and how to turn it around when excessive anxiety is shutting you down.
Success sometimes requires us to actively pursue our goals, whereas at other times the best approach is to wait until circumstances evolve or we can determine the best course of action.
